What it is
A teardrop-shaped sponge with a diagonal cut. It is smooth and gentle on the skin, and can be used to finish everything from base makeup to the fine details of point makeup. Use the bottom for large areas such as base and foundation, the side for blurring the border, and the cut surface or tip for fine details such as the nose and edges. This is a 2-way type that can be used with or without water. The sponge will expand when it is wet. . Without water: Removes excess oil and sets the makeup. With water: Soak the sponge in water and squeeze it tightly before use. The makeup will adhere to the skin and will not easily come off.

The angled cut and tip make it easy to use on the sides of the nose and around the edges.
The diagonal cut part fits snugly into small areas such as the nostrils, making it easy to use. It also feels moist and soft when soaked in water.
The appeal of this sponge is that it has both a flat and a rounded surface, allowing you to use it for different parts of your face. It's also convenient because you can use it both dry and wet. I was looking to buy a new stock of my usual sponge, but it happened to be out of stock, so I tried this one out. It's just as good as the other sponges when applying makeup.
It's a perfect teardrop shape, with a rounded base and a sharply cut diagonal tip. The flat, sharp side is perfect for pressing into delicate areas like the corners of your eyes, while the other side supposedly fits around your nose, but I haven't gotten around to using it properly yet, so that's something I'll have to work on. When applying liquid foundation, I tried using it with the water-based sponge, and it gave me a more even coverage. This means it doesn't absorb too much foundation. I compared it with the &be sponge, and found that the &be absorbed more of the foundation for a thinner application. The softness and feel of the water-based sponge are similar between the &be and Chacott, so I think the Chacott sponge, which offers better coverage, is more useful for me. It's also a little cheaper.
I was looking for an egg-shaped sponge and happened to buy this! It's just the right hardness, and I feel like my makeup lasts longer than usual when I use it! I also love that it's black!
