I ran out of a lotion from another brand I had been using, so I happened to see this one at the drugstore and bought it, and it was a big hit! My skin is naturally sensitive, and products that don't suit me often make it red and sting, but this one caused no irritation. I have dry, acne-prone skin, but my acne has gradually calmed down. I also feel like my shine during the day has improved. I plan to buy it again once I've used it up!
About two years ago, my skin suddenly went from oily to dry, likely due to aging or a change in diet. After struggling for several years and trying various products, I finally found this. The official website offers a 14-day trial kit, which I tried and found to be effective. I first purchased the pink High Moisture Care Line. Every morning, applying CC cream would make my face appear dry and I'd feel depressed, but it's gotten a lot better. Around summer, I switched to the green Balance Care Line, which claims to "reduce the appearance of pores." This lotion is more transparent and silky than the High Moisture Care Line. I apply three pumps at once, and it rarely spills. I didn't notice much effect on my sagging pores, but it did prevent dryness. I'm happy that it's fragrance-free, and the 15-day mini bottles are available in stores, making it easy to try. I have it at Tsuruha. The green Balance Care Line might not be able to handle the mid-winter weather in northern Japan. I think I'll go back to the pink one. Thank you. Thank you so much.
I have combination skin that produces a lot of oil on my nose and can easily develop blackheads. Since summer, the balance between oil and dryness has been off, so my lotion (Hakujun Premium) has started to sting. I couldn't use the serum (Ultimune) that I'd just bought, so I bought this. It's thick and takes a while to absorb. It doesn't cause itching or redness, so it was a lifesaver when I was in trouble. This alone dries out some areas, so I layer a moisture lotion on top of them on the dry areas. I also use Carecera emulsion, and use a dermatologist-prescribed medication for itchy areas. I think this is good for combination skin when it's very dry or rough.
As winter approaches and I'm starting to feel dry, I read reviews and bought the trial size. Since using it, my skin has become less itchy and dry, so I'm thinking of buying the larger size and seeing how it goes. I haven't noticed any particular effect on the redness or enlarged pores that have been bothering me since I was a student.
1/26 Update: When I apply this lotion before applying makeup, my pores become very noticeable. Therefore, I can't use it on days when I wear makeup. -------------------------------- I bought this because I have adult acne. I read some reviews saying that prolonged use can cause itching, so I'm being careful and using it only in the mornings at first. This is a thick lotion. Because it's thick, I like the fact that there's no friction between the cotton pad and my skin. It absorbs quickly and doesn't cause any itching. I use Ultimune serum, so even with the Karte lotion, my skin is well-moisturized, even in winter. I haven't developed any new pimples, so the lotion seems to be working on my acne. The aloe lotion I'm currently using contains ingredients I want to avoid, so I need to find a new one soon. Karte seems to be the answer for now.
