I liked the finish. Step 1 gives delicate, long lashes, while Step 2 gives lush, voluminous lashes. People who like the currently popular separate lashes might not like this finish. I like the fluffy, full-lash finish, so I like it. It's not waterproof, but it didn't come off unless I cried hysterically. With types that come off with warm water, even a few tears will get the lashes on your lower eyelid, but this didn't happen. Makeup removers like oil and balm will remove the lashes. I don't have milk or gel so I haven't tried them. However, after using it for a while, applying Step 2 causes the lashes to clump, so I'll give it 6 stars.
I received a sample. Even though it's a sample, it comes with quite a lot, so I'm trying it out almost every day. Step 1 dramatically lifts your lashes, and Step 2 makes them more noticeable. When I first used it, I was amazed at how much more noticeable my lashes became and the resulting change to my face. However, after a day of use, it starts to smudge under my eyes... In recent years, the problem of mascara smudges has become more serious. I believe Step 2 is the cause of the smudges, so I use only Step 1 and then apply OPERA My Lash on top, which is the best mascara I've ever used that doesn't smudge. Not only does it not smudge, but this alone guarantees great quality! These days, I wish they would sell Step 1 by itself for half price. I plan to buy the full product once I finish the sample.
It's a natural black that makes your eyes look many times more powerful, which is much better than other products (I think it's better than Guerlain). However, it comes off very easily and makes your eyes look panda-like, so it can only be used for short periods of time. I can't use it on my lower lashes at all.
I bought this because it claims that step 1 catches even the finest lashes and curls them, while step 2 adds volume without leaving any residue. I wanted to test it out to see how well it curled and maintained my stubbornly downward-curling lashes. Step 1: The thin brush definitely makes it easier to apply than other mascaras. However, it doesn't curl them very much. When I applied it after firmly curling my lashes with an eyelash curler, my lashes were curled down to a natural curl. After a few hours, the tips of my lashes remained slightly curled. The mascara seems to dry a little slowly, but it's not sticky, making it easy to apply. It made my lashes longer and more delicate. Step 2: Applying it over step 1 added volume and volume. The more I applied it, the more clumping it tended to create, which wasn't my preferred finish. Conclusion: I think it will curl lashes beautifully if you don't have straight lashes. If you don't powder your lower lashes properly, you'll end up with a slightly panda-like look. It was very easy to apply to my lower lashes, so I'll use it there. If you're using it on your upper lashes, you'll need to use a base that keeps the curl...or maybe you should only use it on the lashes at the outer corners of your eyes that are difficult to catch...I think. If you prioritize long, delicate lashes and curl retention, CEZANNE's long-lasting mascara is better. CEZANNE leaves your lashes crisp, but this mascara doesn't. If you don't like the clumpy finish of your lashes, I recommend this mascara. If you prefer long lashes with a natural curl, use step 1. If you prefer dolly lashes, use steps 1 and 2...step 2 wasn't necessary. I'd like to buy it again if the brush in step 1 is improved to lift and maintain the curl.
It has volume and length, but when you use the volume, it applies surprisingly well! If you don't comb it with a brush, it clumps. If you use both, it looks like you're wearing false eyelashes, so maybe it's better for natural makeup? The size is large, so it seems like it would be good for a full makeup look at home!
