I have a 32mm ReFa, so I tried the 38mm. Unlike the ReFa, it doesn't give you a warm indication, which is a bit inconvenient, but it's easy to curl and gives a nice shine, so overall I like it better than the ReFa.
I've been using the CREATES curling iron for a long time, but I bought this one because it has good reviews from hairdressers. (Purchased in December 2023) The shine is amazing...it's incredibly beautiful and the curls are beautiful. It's easy to use and really good.
I love Holistic Cure and own several. My hair has been growing, so I recently purchased a 38mm curling iron. Holistic Cure curlers hold curls well. I wonder if it's because of their long history as hair styling appliances. They're easy to use, easy to clamp, and easy to apply tension. I have straight hair, so I often struggled to maintain the curls I'd worked so hard to style. But since I discovered Holistic Cure, my curls have held up much better. I'm putting a lot of strain on my hair when styling, so I need them to last. That said, I can't afford curling irons that cost 30,000 or 50,000 yen. This one is only 20,000 yen, so I can get it for just under 10,000 yen. It's not too cheap, not too expensive. It's easy to use, not too painful, and provides excellent styling results. The affordable price and quality make it easy to purchase in 26mm, 32mm, and 38mm sizes. I'll be using it for a long time to come.
The curls lasted well and I didn't feel any damage to my hair after using it. I use a kinjo (silver-like) brush for the 32mm, but I think the kinjo brush has a stronger grip on the hair. The only downside is that you can't tell if the set temperature has been reached.
After thoroughly researching the functionality and reviews of numerous curling irons online, I finally purchased the Magnet Pro. Ultimately, I'm glad I bought it, but it far exceeded my expectations (^^;). I don't use hair irons often to begin with, so it's partly down to my own skill (I think that's mostly true), but in terms of ease of curling, it was just okay. I don't use irons often, so even with the Magnet Pro, I noticed some dryness and squeaking after using it, just like with other hair irons, although it was a bit more noticeable when I wasn't using it. I use a ReFa straightening iron, and the ReFa seems to be slightly better for my hair. I also use oil, but the hold isn't an issue.
