I bought this along with the Tom Ford cream eyeshadow! It gets on my fingers too much, so it's great to apply it with this (*^^*) The bristles are soft and feel great!
I've been using Tom Ford eyeshadow a lot lately, so I decided to buy a brush. Perhaps it's a trend these days, but brushes are being replaced by synthetic hair instead of animal hair. When I saw this brush at the Tom Ford counter a few years ago, it was made of animal hair, and it felt so good on my skin, so even though it was a little pricey, I absolutely had to have it. The brush I received was made of synthetic hair, and while it's easy to care for, I still think animal hair is better.
Tom Ford brushes were redesigned with synthetic bristles a few years ago. The one I purchased also has synthetic bristles, but since there's no separate review space for before and after the redesign, I'll write my review here. I had an eyeshadow brush I liked because of its shape and bristles, but perhaps because it was inexpensive, the bristles became frizzy after a few washes. I thought a department store product would last longer, so I bought one. This is my first department store eyeshadow brush. I chose Tom Ford because I currently love the Eye Color Quad and use it frequently, so I thought a brush from the same brand would be a sure bet. I didn't compare it to other brands. From the front, it appears to be a large, flat brush. Its width is slightly larger than my pinky finger (my fingers are on the thicker side). The bristles are rounded and shaped a bit like a baseball base. From the side, it's not very thick. It's neither too stiff nor too weak. The bristles feel stiff at the base, but soft and fluffy at the tip. When I stroke the brush across my skin, it feels smooth and not at all rough or tuggy. I mainly use it to apply the Eye Color Quad, and it's very easy to use. When I place the brush on my eyelid, the color is exactly where I want it. However, because the color is applied softly, I can gradually build up the color and make fewer mistakes. By applying eyeshadow multiple times, I feel like I can bring out the beautiful luster of the Eye Color Quad more beautifully than when I used other brushes. I use this brush to apply all colors except for the highlight color. It's great for applying highlight color to the crease of the eye, and I can also use the bristles raised to apply to small areas or the lower eyelid. I washed it once after purchasing, and the quality of the bristles remains the same as when they were new, and they still retain their shape. I also like the fact that they're synthetic, so I can wash them frequently. As an aside, I had a chance to go to the counter before purchasing and spoke to the beauty advisor, who told me that even the new Tom Ford brushes are made in Japan. Speaking of brushes, I wonder if they're made in that prefecture? When I asked about it, they naturally avoided mentioning it, but they said that it is made by Japanese craftsmen using careful methods. The fact that it is "Made in Japan" also leaves a very good impression.

I love Tom Ford brushes. The bristles are soft and I love how easy they are to apply.
