I've been using it for a month now, so here's my review. It doesn't irritate or sting my skin, and it removes makeup well (not too much). It does have the Ayaka series scent, which reminds me of older cosmetics, so if you don't mind that, I highly recommend it. It does leave a sticky feeling after use, but it comes off easily with a face wash.
I tried it for the first time because it had good reviews. I have normal skin and don't use mascara or eyeliner because my contacts get cloudy. It's gentle on the skin and removes makeup well. It doesn't leave a tight feeling after washing. I did feel a slight stickiness when rinsing. For me it's neither good nor bad... I like to try different things and when I find something I like, I buy it again, but this one made me wonder if I should try something different next time. I think it would be good for people who wear natural makeup.
I bought it because I got 20% off points. It's great that it removes makeup and doesn't irritate my skin. It requires double cleansing, which is a bit of a pain. It also has a plastic-like smell, which I can tolerate, but I'm not used to.
I purchased this from Suzykirei on Rakuten Market. The texture is quite smooth, and while the packaging suggests using two to three pumps, considering the tendency for it to run and cause friction, it's better to use one more. The scent is "the quintessential old-fashioned cosmetics scent" (lol). It doesn't linger once you wash it off, and I think it's there to counteract the odor of the ingredients (lol). Even if you're wearing makeup that's difficult to remove, if you apply Daiso's mascara remover and then rub this oil into your makeup, it even removed Cezanne's durable curl mascara. When removing makeup, dissolve the oil on your hands in hot water to create a cloudy white color, then rub it in and rinse (essential for oil cleansers). After that, if you rinse with clean hot water, it leaves no sticky residue and doesn't dry out your skin. The bottle is easy to keep stable, and they offer refills, so I plan to buy it again. _________________Additional note: I've used this product more than three times and my skin is in great condition. It absorbs faster than cheap cleansing oils and comes off easily. Even foundation that doesn't easily come off melts away when you apply the oil to your skin, but it doesn't make my skin feel tired or dry. Double cleansing is essential, but this oil is better than cleansers that cause friction or don't completely remove makeup.
This was my first time using Shikisai cleansing, so I was very happy and when I tried it right away, I was glad I used it! It removed my makeup smoothly and didn't make my skin feel tight.
