The brush is just the right hardness, so you can draw fine lines. It would be even better if it had a cap.
I didn't have an eyebrow brush, so I'd been using an eyeliner brush to draw my eyebrows. Switching to this one has dramatically changed my eyebrows. My thick eyebrows look more natural. Of course, it was for eyeliner, and the brush that came with it contained too much powder, making it easy to draw but thick. It also made it easy to create a sharp outer brow. I'd even like to give one to a friend as a gift. It's completely different from the Dior brushes I bought 10 years ago...
I splurged on this eyebrow brush. To be honest, I don't put much effort into my eyebrow makeup, but when I think about using this, it makes me want to put in the effort... It's amazing how good the screw brush is.
My eyebrows are thin and unevenly shaped, so I'm just not good at drawing them. No matter how much I try or practice, drawing them is always a pain. After experimenting with my own methods, I've found that I've been using Dior's 5 Couleurs in Brown for the inner brows, Dior Show Brow Styler for the outer brows, and Surcy Poudre Waterproof for the entire brow. A Dior beauty advisor showed me how to use Surcy Poudre and a brush, and I bought this brush. It's so easy to draw with! I wish I'd bought it sooner! It's soft yet firm, making it easy to draw with, yet completely non-irritating to the skin. The outer brows, which I couldn't get the look I wanted without the brow styler, are now so easy to achieve. I can draw them clearly or blend them gently. Even on my first try, I was able to use it the way I wanted. Drawing my brows is no longer a pain. I'll never let it go.
I bought this after having an artist try it on me in-store. I don't think Dior currently has a palette-type eyebrow pencil. I was wondering how to use it without one, but it's actually a pencil. Apparently, using the sharpened pencil with a brush creates a powder-like texture. When I tried it myself, I was able to draw a thinner line than with a pencil, and it gave a softer impression. The shape of the brows tends to blur, so I adjust it a little with the retractable pencil, but I can mostly draw them with this brush. The screw brush on the other side looks almost identical to the other side of the sharpened pencil. If that's the case, isn't this screw brush unnecessary if you're using it with this pencil? Of course, that's included in the price, so that's a bit of a tricky point. Some of the beauty advisors bent the screw brush at the base to make it easier to hold. That's not possible with a pencil, so it's different. However, doing it at home is a bit of a hassle when standing it up, so it's something to consider. It's not something that will break down so easily, so I probably won't buy it again. For now, I'll make sure to use what I bought properly.
