I was worried about my pores and wanted clearer skin, so I tried this and felt it was worth more than the price! It makes my skin look like it's bare, but it doesn't make my pores stand out and gives me a really clear complexion. In the middle of summer, it can get a bit thick, but it's moisturizing and not sticky, with just the right amount of dryness. Spring and autumn are probably the best times to use it.
I don't think it's particularly popular in Japan, but this product is almost always recommended when purchasing foundation overseas! I was curious about it, so I tried a sample. Whenever I apply a highly rated foundation, I think, "Wow! My skin has changed! It's so beautiful!" But with this foundation, the impression isn't so immediate; it's more the impact that comes over time. It adheres well, provides just the right amount of coverage, and doesn't break down. The liquid is smooth, so even those with pale skin won't feel heavy. Every time I look in the mirror, my skin looks beautiful. I can see why it's so highly rated overseas. I tried the sample in shade 4, but it was a bit yellowish and dark, so I ended up buying shade 2. I think the color was just right! Since there are only a few stores in Japan, I don't have many opportunities to try it, so it's a shame! It's truly a hidden gem. I've been buying various Armani products recently, including lip glosses and eye tints, and they've never been disappointing. I highly recommend everyone try this foundation!
Of all the foundations I've tried, including Dior, SUQQU, Addiction, and Shiseido, this one was the one that lasted the longest. It also has a beautiful semi-matte finish, making it perfect for the upcoming season.
I used this for a while after the Maestro Foundation, around 10 years ago. I think it was 6,600 yen plus tax back then... (staring off into the distance). After that, I used the To-Go Cushion, Designer Lift Cushion, and Power Fabric Liquid. Conclusion: It has great coverage and doesn't come off even when I sweat!!! YSL sunscreen → Armani Pore Makeup Base → UV Master Primer in Mauve → this → I only use the Power Fabric Setting Powder or Maestro Powder Mauve Primer where I want to brighten up. I've been using the Designer Lift and To-Go Cushion on repeat, and since it's been a while since I used the liquid, I accidentally used too little pressure and ended up with one pump. Applying it with my fingers and blending it with a dry sponge gave it great coverage and a perfect fit. Applying the same amount with a brush gave it a sheer look. Japanese foundations tend to have a strong orange tint, so I rarely use them, so I can't really compare, but this one isn't thick! This is Armani! I love it!! I used to use #2, so I stuck with it, but I have redness on my cheeks and some dark spots, so I think I'll buy #4 when it comes in stock to blend it in as a shading effect around the face. (#4 alone is too dark.) If you're concerned about pore clogging, a thin layer of YSL's Radiant Touch or Armani's black primer will significantly prevent clogging. By the way, as soon as I applied this and then the Power Fabric Setting Powder, my face started to sweat due to my age, but it just beaded up and didn't come off. When I'm out and about, I pat the sweat away with a gauze handkerchief, and when I get home and put on a mask, there's a little clogging on my cheeks, but if I don't wear a mask, it's not a problem. That's why I love Armani foundation. I'd like a foundation and color that doesn't clogging pores like this, has almost no scent, doesn't need to be thick, and is a little more affordable, but after experimenting with various samples, I couldn't find anything and ended up settling on Armani.
