I think I've bought it twice, once overseas and once at Kansai Airport. I used one bottle and then didn't use it for a while, so I'm not sure how effective it is. I'm almost finished with my last bottle. You mix the orange liquid (?) with the powder stored at the bottom. It's hard to explain, but the bottom of the powder-containing section is rubber-like, and when you press it inward, it seems to break the partition (?) and mix the powder and liquid. It feels sticky for a moment, but it doesn't interfere with what you apply next. It stings terribly on cuts on my face (like when I scratch my face a little due to dryness and itchiness). It's so intense it's almost excruciating (lol). It only lasts for a little while, but it goes away quickly after application. It's fragrance-free, but I'm not sure if it's from the ingredients. It has a slight medicinal scent. I don't particularly mind it, but it's not odorless, so some people might find it bothersome. I bought it at a duty-free shop, so it might be slightly different from the ones sold in department stores. Even so, some of the products came with instructions in several languages on one sheet, including Japanese. It says, "Use one bottle within seven days," but I've never used it completely, and I think I've used it for about two weeks... Since I wasn't using it according to the brand's instructions, it's only natural that it wasn't effective. I don't think it even cost nearly 15,000 yen. Since it's vitamin C, I used it for whitening purposes, but using it all up in one concentrated dose is a bit of a hassle, and I also use a regular whitening serum, so if I were asked to buy it a third time... I'm not sure. Maybe if I have another opportunity to travel abroad and it's much cheaper than in Japan...?
It's easy to use, gentle and non-irritating.
It's easy to use, gentle and non-irritating.
I think the system of mixing it at the beginning gives it a fresh feeling, but I thought it was quite difficult to use. I mixed it with my lotion and used it. It didn't irritate me. It doesn't have a nice scent, but I think that's what makes it Clinique.
It brightens my skin tone considerably. I have sensitive skin, but it's no problem.
