What it is
This formula is free of six additives (fragrance-free, colorant-free, mineral oil-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free, and silicone-free). Its carefully selected ingredients (Japanese, Chinese, and Western botanical ingredients) create a rich, moisturizing, fine lather that gently cleanses away sebum and dirt without straining the scalp or hair.

Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. As of 22 July 2026, we offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

I use this shampoo by itself. It's used as a pre-treatment for an expensive conditioner, so it's inexpensive, has a mild scent, and has great cleansing power. I was surprised at how fine and soft the foam is, and the squeaky feeling wasn't too noticeable. In fact, it felt like a booster for the conditioner. I recommend it for people like me who like to use it sparingly!
I've used a variety of products over the past 10 years, including additive-free, natural, soap-based, and amino acid-based products, but only a handful have I repurchased more than twice. It has a natural orange scent that doesn't linger after rinsing, but it doesn't leave a lingering scalp odor like some natural products, and it doesn't leave a lingering smell on my hair, giving it a sense of proper care. I was so picky about everything that I ended up using different products for my family, but it looks like I can finally use just this one product. I've been able to keep my black hair fluffy, light, and shiny.
