I bought a lucky bag over the New Year's holidays, containing a trial-sized essence, serum, mask, and cream. Even though it was just a trial, it was over ¥10,000! It was my first time purchasing such expensive skincare items, so I was a bit nervous. I've been using it for a month and have used about half of the 75mm bottle, so I'll give you my review. First, the scent. I'd heard that SK-II has a unique scent, but it didn't bother me at all. Maybe it's because I'm used to fermented foods. I'm not a fan of artificial scents, so I'm glad it's fragrance-free. Next, the feel! The smooth texture absorbs quickly into the skin. At first, I was surprised at how well it blends in, making me wonder if I even had it on. Gently pressing it into my skin, I can feel the moisture level increasing. I use it morning and night, applying it three times! Perhaps because it penetrates deep into my skin, I don't see excess oil when I wake up in the morning or when I get home in the evening. I'm so impressed, my skin has become truly translucent. My face has become one tone brighter, and my skin has become softer. The roughness around my nose and chin has also decreased dramatically. I really want to keep using it... but it's expensive...

I usually use a different brand's line for my skincare routine, but on special days, I use this essence as a lotion pack in the morning as a special treatment. (I use a lot of lotion packs, so I only do it about once a week.) Just leaving it on for just under five minutes makes a huge difference in the way my pores open and the finish and longevity of my makeup. When I use this essence, I also use SK-II face wash, serum, and cream. Not only do I not mind the Pitera smell, I like it because it "feels like it's going to work." And it really does work. The only drawback is the price, lol. I try to buy it when a gift set is released to get a good deal.

It has very good reviews so I tried it out, but it was neither good nor bad. I previously used a sample of the makeup base and didn't find it particularly good either. It seems like it would be great if it suited me, so it's a shame, but it's not bad, so I'd like to try it again if I have the chance.
