I like the chunky look of the mascara itself. The brush is thick, so it's a little difficult to apply. I have inverted lashes, so when I curl them with an eyelash curler, this mascara immediately droops and doesn't work at all. However, when I use it after getting my eyelashes permed, it really makes my lashes stand out. I think it would be good for people who have naturally curled lashes or large double eyelids.
It spreads out in a fan-like shape. It doesn't give you much volume, but it does give you a long lash. It has just the right amount of volume and length, and it gives you a fluffy look. The finish is very beautiful. The only drawback is that the mascara itself is thick and difficult to grip. I was surprised at how thick it was when I first saw it. Also, it doesn't have much curl retention.
It gives great volume and keeps the curls in place. I think it's a great product.
It's a masterpiece that makes me wonder why there are so few reviews! I received it as a bonus when I bought foundation, but I was only aware of Givenchy mascara. When I got home, I thought I'd just remove it, so I tried it casually, and to my surprise, it curled my lashes! I'd curled my lashes with my eyelash curler and mascara in the morning, and then spent the night doing nothing but applying this on top of them, and they curled! And what's more, it's so long! They're as long as eyelash extensions! They're delicate and not overly long! But a review on Suzykirei said they make my lashes look like they're pandas... so I used it again this morning. It curled my lashes as if they were extensions, and they were still as long, long, long, long as ever! They're like eyelash extensions, and I don't know why... they really make my eyes look more powerful. Is it because it's a rich black? It's not flashy, but it really makes my eyes stand out. I wanted to focus my lashes downwards, so I didn't want them to stand out too much, but this really frames my eyes without any of that flashiness. It was a tough day for mascara, with the wind getting dust in my eyes and making me teary, and the cream eyeshadow making my eyes oily, but I didn't turn into a panda! It doesn't feel crunchy to the touch, it's fluffy! Delicate! It feels like a feather! The sample was generous, so it'll probably be a while before I get it, and since I've always been satisfied with affordable mascaras, it's too expensive for me, so I'm hesitant to buy it, but I'm definitely considering buying it! This divine cosmetic deserves to become more well-known???!
I bought this mascara after seeing an editor using it on Spur's YouTube channel and seeing how beautiful the finish was. I bought it online without seeing it in person, so I was surprised by how heavy it was. It's heavy, and the barrel is the thickest of any mascara I've ever used. The brush is large and has a strong presence (I personally find applying it little by little tiring with a small brush, so I prefer larger brushes). When you twist it to close, it clicks into place, and you can tell it's properly closed, which is a nice touch. It has a luxurious feel that matches the price. The finish is fluffy and black, as you'd expect from a Western brand. The liquid is light, and it doesn't completely lose its curl, but it doesn't have the crisp curl-holding power to keep it crisp, which may actually give it a more languid look. As is common with Western mascaras, it does tend to transfer to the underside of the eyes. However, I like this mascara because it has a finish that only Western brands can produce, which sets it apart from East Asian mascaras that tend to be full-curled and full-volume! Eyelashes don't grow in a straight line, but rather overlap slightly in places. The beauty of Western mascaras is that they coat each individual lash without bunching them all together. The black is rich and deep, without any whitish or shiny look. I use this when I want lush, languid lashes like Anna Karina.
