What it is

The gel of the Aqua Rich pair, not the essence. It is slightly more cushioned and covers larger areas more easily, which is why it is sold for face and body rather than face alone.

How to use
取适量产品，少量多次涂抹于肌肤，并均匀推开。用量过少，防晒效果不佳。注意避免防晒液直接接触衣物，待其完全干透后再穿衣。为保持防晒效果，擦汗后需及时补涂。卸除时，请使用洗面奶或沐浴露彻底清洗。

What is the difference between the Watery Gel and the Watery Essence?
Both are SPF50+ PA++++ from the same Aqua Rich range. The Essence is thinner and marketed for the face, and is the one people reach for under makeup. The Gel is slightly more cushioned, sold for face and body, and easier to spread over larger areas. If you want one product for both, take the Gel.
Does it leave a white cast?
No. It uses chemical rather than mineral filters, which is why it disappears on all skin tones rather than leaving the grey cast that high-SPF mineral sunscreens can give on deeper skin. It also means it needs the standard fifteen minutes before sun exposure to settle.
Can I wear it under makeup?
Yes, and it is sold as doubling as a makeup base. Give it two or three minutes to set before foundation. If you find it pills under a heavy base, you are likely applying the next layer too soon or rubbing rather than pressing it in.
Do I need a special cleanser to remove it?
No. Despite being super waterproof it is designed to come off with an ordinary facial cleanser or body wash. Wash thoroughly and pay attention to the hairline, jaw and ears. If you have layered it over makeup, remove the makeup first.

On orders under US$75, shipping is a flat US$20 to the United States and US$10 to all other countries.

How long does international shipping take?
These estimates are for International Airmail (Tracked) and include 3 to 5 business days of processing in Japan. As of 22 July 2026:

Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. We offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I have to pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

Since I'm going to the beach and the pool this time, I bought the gel type because I heard it was less likely to burn. The result... I lost at the beach and the pool. I reapplied it every two hours, but I still got a bad tan. My kids, who get tanned all the time, didn't get red or hurt after applying it. But it wasn't strong enough for adult skin, which is always diligently taking precautions against sunburn. It doesn't have the typical sunscreen smell, and it doesn't leave a white cast. It doesn't feel tight, so it seems like it would be good for walking around town.
I use this all year round! I always apply it to my face before applying makeup. It doesn't irritate my skin and spreads easily, so this is the sunscreen I need!

It's enough for everyday use. However, it turns white on clothes and on black cars... It's sticky, so maybe it's not the best choice?
It doesn't feel unpleasant when applied to the skin. I'm not sure if it effectively protects against sunburn, but it doesn't tire the skin.
