I purchased the beige cartridge only. It's not particularly difficult to use with just the cartridge. Perhaps because I chose the beige, the color doesn't really pay off. I use it on my under-eye bags. It's perfect because I'm not looking for a dramatic under-eye bag. The retractable design and soft texture make it easy to use. After applying this to my under-eye bags, I apply powder to prevent my eyeliner and mascara from smudging, then lightly apply a light brown powder to my lower lash line and then apply my lower mascara. It didn't smudge over time. It's not a very pigmented, reflective type, but it does subtly soften dullness, so I think it's good.

I bought two shades of eye cream, so I thought it would be convenient to have a holder.

I'm in my late 50s. When I apply brown eyeshadow to my eyelids, by the evening, the brown color fades under my eyes, creating dark circles and making me sad. I was looking for a liquid or cream eyeshadow that might prevent this, and after reading this review, I purchased this product. As other reviews have said, this product uses just the cartridge, so I didn't buy the holder. It comes in stick form, so I can apply it directly to my eyelids, achieving a moist, beautiful color finish. What I also liked about Prior's packaging is that the instructions are written in large, easy-to-read letters, making it easy for someone like me who is older and has presbyopia, so I was able to read them carefully before using. I now want to try other colors.

I used the pink for a while, and loved the subtle finish and ease of use, so I bought the beige one as well. It seems there's a holder sold separately, but you can use the cartridge alone. Just like lipstick, you apply it by slightly swiping it over your eyelids. It's smooth and light, so if you want a bit more color, I recommend swiping it back and forth across your eyelids. The shimmer is subtle and the finish is subtle, so I use just this eye cream color when I want a natural look, and layer it with powder eyeshadow when I want a more substantial look. Another plus is that it's a cream color, so it doesn't dry out easily.

It was easy to use and I'm glad. Matte shades tend to highlight wrinkles on the eyelids, so the glitter helps to hide them. I use other eyeshadows as the finishing color, so this thickness is perfect as a base. I think I'll buy the pink one too and use them interchangeably.
