I bought this along with the new loose powder. I've never used a brush to apply powder, so I'm not sure if it's particularly better than other products. However, it seems like the brush works better around the eyes and nose. I don't have a pouch to store just the brush, so it would have been nice if it came with a dedicated brush case.
It's small. It's smaller than even a large blush brush. I was surprised when it arrived. However, I don't like brushes that are too big because I feel like they can't reach the finer details, so the small size isn't a negative. The bristles are also uniquely cut, like a foundation brush with flat bristles (like Shiseido's HASU FUDE), but longer and softer. Personally, I initially thought Shiseido's Multi-Face Brush would be easier to use, being in a similar price range and also made with Japanese-made synthetic bristles. However, the IPSA brush is also soft and non-irritating, making it perfect for applying powder and comfortable to the skin. Unlike the Multi-Face Brush, the tip isn't tapered, so I think the IPSA brush is better for polishing powder. As a brush, it's not densely packed with stiff, voluminous bristles, but rather soft and light. A must-have brush for me is Japanese-made synthetic bristles that feel good on the skin, but they're so hard to find. I hope they continue to use Japanese-made synthetic hair brushes in the future, so I'm giving them a slightly generous rating of 6 stars.
I bought it without seeing it in person. I bought it to use as a face powder, but it was smaller than I expected. However, it's soft and seems like it can be used on small areas, so that's actually a good thing!
It's easy to use. Powder is best with a brush! I also bought this as a gift.
I use IPSA for most of my cosmetics. I recently purchased this brush because I wanted one specifically for powder. The brush is more compact than I expected. It's for loose powder, so it can't be helped, but it's quite soft, so it can be difficult to remove powder from some pressed powders. By the way, I couldn't remove much of the IPSA control powder, but it was easy to remove skincare powder. When using a puff with skincare powder, too much powder gets on the skin, making it very matte, but when I apply it with this brush, it becomes semi-matte. The brush itself is really soft and comfortable, and doesn't irritate the skin, so it's definitely better than the IPSA brush for pressed powder.
