It's alcohol-free and completely non-irritating, and while it's labeled as a serum, it feels fresh and moisturizing enough to be used as a lotion. I decided against buying the cream because of the price, but while I haven't noticed any immediate effects from either the lotion or serum, they're very pleasant to use and don't dry out my skin, so I wish I'd bought them together when the points were 20% off.
