Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. As of 22 July 2026, we offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

I bought this because I was concerned about my oily skin. It contains powder, so I shake it vigorously before using. It's smooth and non-sticky, which is a big plus. However, it doesn't really work on the oily skin, which is why I gave it this rating.
It's refreshing but moisturizing without making my skin dry. I have dry skin, but it feels good to use and is easy to use.
Smooth and very refreshing
I can confidently recommend this product. I apply this Oil Control Lotion first, then the Oil Control Gel, and I can clearly see the difference! (*´ω`*)! My skin feels like porcelain, and I get tons of compliments on it, even without makeup. In the morning, after washing my face, I apply the Oil Control Lotion and Oil Control Gel before putting on makeup. At night, after taking a bath, I apply the Oil Control Lotion, Oil Control Gel, and Fluid Milk generously. When I wake up, my skin is so radiant, I truly can't live without Avène. I'd been eyeing the Oil Control Lotion in stores for a while, but I didn't want to risk disappointing with the price, so I bought a new one at a flea market site for a low price and tried it. I immediately realized how great it was. So I ordered another bottle. My mother is also crazy about it, so I'm giving her another one as a gift. I have combination skin, and she has super oily skin, but it works great on either of us. In fact, it even improved our skin. Let's be beautiful together! I'm hooked on the Avène series.
I have very oily skin. Because I have to wear a mask for work, every summer I would sweat and my skin would become sticky and oily, causing irritation. Since I started using this product, my skin doesn't become as smooth as it used to be, even when I move around, but it no longer feels sticky! (I use it together with the emulsion from the same line.) My skin irritation has almost completely disappeared, so I'm really glad I found this product. Since I found it, I've been buying it again every summer. I can confidently recommend it to anyone with oily skin who is troubled by stickiness!!
