The scent was a lovely floral scent that wasn't too sweet, but my hair was so dry that it still felt dry.

I found a cheap trial size at a recycle shop, so I bought one. My scalp odor and greasiness disappeared after using it. My hair is now smooth. I'd been using olefin-based shampoos, which had me concerned about the oiliness and odor of my scalp, but this is an amino acid-based shampoo, so it's improved the situation. I have thin hair that gets tangled no matter what shampoo I use, and it still gets tangled with this shampoo. I guess it's just my hair type.
