I've been struggling with pigmentation from atopic dermatitis for many years, so I tried using this. When I rub it, white flakes come out, so it seems like it's turning white with a white film, as others have said. I have strong pigmentation all over my body, so it doesn't feel like my skin has become completely white, but it does seem to correct the spots. It's smooth and easy to apply, and I think it's moisturizing too. If you're like me and are worried about your skin color and don't mind using low-cost products, I think it's worth trying.
I buy this every year when UV rays become a concern. I can feel the effect when I use it, but honestly I don't feel much the next day. However, I buy it every year because I don't want to get any darker than I am now... and somehow I've managed to maintain my pre-summer skin color. There are no instructions for use, so I use it while figuring out how much and for how long.
I think this is a product that may vary from person to person. Some reviews say they didn't notice any noticeable results, but I actually applied it to my well-wet body, around the décolleté, arms, armpits, and knees, massaging it in and leaving it on for 5 minutes. I think my décolleté and armpits have lightened by one tone. However, I won't know for sure until I continue using it. The creamy texture spreads easily. The grapefruit scent is subtle and not overpowering.
