I've hardly ever used astringent lotions before, but this summer has been so hot... I wanted something a little more cooling and comfortable for my skincare routine, as well as to tighten my pores, soothe my skin, and prevent my makeup from coming off, so I bought this. Before I bought this, I'd chill my Sekkisei lotion in the refrigerator and wipe it off. It was cool and refreshing, but I was looking for something a little more affordable, and I found this astringent lotion in the nostalgic Dolux series! My mother used to love the purple lotion from this series. It brings back so many memories. Like the Sekkisei, I chill this in the refrigerator and use it. Immediately after washing my face, I soak a cotton pad with a generous amount and pat it onto my face. The cooling sensation is irresistible in the hot weather, and it somehow seems to tighten my pores. I don't think it's very moisturizing, so I layer on a lotion after this. So I use it as a kind of pre-lotion, and it soothes the heat and leaves me feeling refreshed, so I'm able to stay motivated to do my skincare routine, even when it's hot and tedious. The scent is quite strong, by the way. It reminds me of the scent of Showa-era cosmetics. Retro and strong. I remember when I was a child, I would secretly use the lotions from my mother's dresser, and they would usually smell like this. That's right, this series used to be bottled in glass. I was surprised to see that it had been changed to a plastic container at some point. They're changing with the times. But the price hasn't changed, and I can really see how great the company's efforts are. This is a lotion I'd like to keep on hand in the summer.

It's only the third day since I started using it, but I can already feel the effects. I pat my skin at the end of my skincare routine. I thought it wasn't moisturizing enough, but it actually moisturizes my skin and makes my pores disappear? It tightens my skin! It leaves my skin smooth and moisturized. The scent is a bit like cosmetics, but it fades quickly and doesn't bother me. I don't have any problems with the ethanol either. I'd like to try this with other lotions too. It's cheap, so I can use a lot!

Personally, I feel like the feel is not much different from the light blue one, but I like the scent of this one better.

I like to keep it ice-cold in the refrigerator. It's perfect for summer.

I'm in my 30s and have oily skin. I'm UV-damaged and have pores, so the container is difficult to use, so I refill it into a 100-yen spray bottle. I wish they sold refill packs or spray types... I think people's tastes will differ when it comes to scent. I already have oily skin, but my oiliness worsened during pregnancy, so I've continued to use only the lotion. My pores are still noticeable, but I like the refreshing feel, so I'm repurchasing it. I recommend using it in combination with another cream or eye cream in the winter.
