I'm left scratching my head wondering how it's different from 11, but this one has a little more bristles and the bristles are more evenly oriented, so the color goes on better than 11. It's similar to NARS' Sable brush. 11 is great because you can create a gradation just by stroking your eyelids, but when I want to do a more fashionable makeup look, I reach for 12. I love makeup brushes because they're so complex that there's no right answer (lol).
I have a brush 10 and it's so easy to use that I decided to buy the larger 12. Because it's bigger than the 10, it applies color over a wider area, and because the brush is flat, you can use it with the bristles pointing up to apply and blend color to the lower eyelid, outer corner of the eye, and the darker part of the eye. It can also be used to add highlights under the eyebrows, making it a very versatile brush. You can do anything with just this one brush♪
It's expensive for an eyeshadow brush, but the firmness, smoothness, glossy bristles, and color payoff are exceptional. I mainly use it on the eyelids. The No. 10 brush is a size smaller and more maneuverable, and the No. 13G brush is soft and perfect for blending. With these three brushes, you can create flawless eye makeup. While the initial investment is substantial, the brushes themselves are sturdy, and in the long run, I think it's more cost-effective than replacing cheap brushes. The first makeup brushes I bought were cheap and wore out quickly. After that, I bought Mac brushes, but they were hit or miss, so I ended up with Shu Uemura. Ultimately, I regret not having bought these brushes from the start, and I learned a lot.
It says "synthetic fiber," so it's fiber, isn't it? I thought it was just straight bristles. It's so easy to use! I use it to apply a lighter color to my entire eyelid. The bristles are thick and three-dimensional, so it holds the eyeshadow well and is soft to the touch. The color is applied softly, but firmly. Once you use this brush, you won't be able to use any other brushes. I'll definitely buy it again.
I bought this because I saw an artist using it at a Shu Uemura concert. It's a little bigger than the No. 10, so it applies powder beautifully to the entire eyelid with one stroke. It definitely makes a difference in your makeup if you buy a better brush than the one that comes with it.
