Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. As of 22 July 2026, we offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

It's incredibly easy to use. It's quick and easy. I soak a cotton ball in it, apply it roughly, and then wipe it off with tissue paper. I feel like applying makeup with a clean brush is incredibly good for my mind. The animal hair brushes I bought a while ago from Shu seem to take a little longer to dry, but they still dry quickly. It's generously sized, so it's a great value for the money.
Just seeing the Shu Uemura packaging lifts my spirits. I bought it thinking it was within the acceptable range of 3,000 yen. I wonder if it's alcohol? It has a pungent smell, so people might either love it or hate it. But it removes makeup well! Even a small amount is enough to remove makeup well, so it's probably good value for money.
When I was purchasing a foundation brush, I said I'd buy two because I was going to wash them, but the clerk at the store suggested I buy this cleaner instead of two brushes, so I bought it. It's super easy to use. Just one paper towel is enough to keep it clean. The seller would probably have made more money if I'd bought another 6,000 yen brush, but I'm grateful to the salesperson for recommending the cleaner. I'm very satisfied with the Shu Uemura salesperson and the quality of their products.
