I think it's very useful once you get the hang of it. The first time I used it, I was able to pinpoint and curl my eyelashes, but no matter how many times I tried after that, I couldn't get it right. I couldn't pinch my eyelashes properly, or I ended up pinching my eyelids.I thought it was good that there was no stick on the side so the adjacent eyelashes wouldn't get caught.
I wanted to curl the eyelashes on the inner corners of my eyes, so I bought a partial eyelash curler. I usually curl my eyelashes with a regular eyelash curler, then apply mascara and curl the eyelashes on the inner corners of my eyes that didn't curl completely, but this method worked perfectly for me.
I bought this because it seemed to lift the eyelashes at the corners of my eyes. It was named S Curler after the 8 S's (small, spot, special, safe, simple, side-bar free, sophisticated, shu uemura) that represent the development's commitment and features. (From the product description) I thought it was because it's S size. It's cracked, but unfortunately it doesn't fit me. It doesn't feel good to hold, and even if I put a lot of pressure on it, it doesn't seem to be transmitted to the eyelashes. Maybe it's because the black rubber part doesn't have much elasticity. It's hard. I can lift it from the root, but it seems difficult to curl it. Also, I wonder if it's attached to support the upper eyelid and make it easier to control? The white rubber part comes off a lot. It's frustrating because it's not stable even if it doesn't come off. I thought it would be easier to clamp because there is no side bar, and it is easy to clamp, but it's no use if the eyelashes just lift up a little even if you can clamp them. I have naturally thick, droopy eyelashes, but even so, I wonder if there is more to it. I think the shape is a unique and good idea, so it may be different for those with soft eyelashes.
I've been interested in it for a while, so I finally bought one the other day! It took me a while to get used to the feeling of holding it on my eyelids, but once I did, it was much easier to use than a regular eyelash curler, and I could curl my eyelashes with ease! As expected from Shu Uemura!
I graduated from eyelash extensions and started using my own eyelashes, but I didn't want to lift my eyelashes on the outer corners of my eyes, so I bought this for that part. Once you get the hang of it, you can lift the parts you want nicely, and if you divide it into about three times, you can lift your eyelashes all over. It's a shame that there are no replacement rubber bands, but I think I'll buy another one if the rubber band gets worn out (^-^)
