I used the Second Skin Mesh Matte Cushion and wanted more shine, so I bought this. It has a light shine. For me, it doesn't have enough coverage, so after using the Matte Cushion, I add it to the cheeks where I want more shine. It has a sophisticated shine.
I first tried the sample and liked it so I bought it! When you apply it with a brush, it forms a thin film, but it also has a decent amount of coverage and can hide redness around the nose. I have combination skin, dry cheeks, and oily T-zone, but I didn't notice any noticeable changes until the evening. There is a little creasing around my nose, but it's not a dirty kind of creasing. I like that it has a decent amount of coverage but doesn't look like you're wearing heavy makeup.
I was looking for a foundation that spreads easily and is light, so I bought this. I like how it has a loose texture that spreads well and doesn't feel thick. I spread it with a sponge soaked in water and it gives a natural, bare-skin finish. It has a floral scent, but it fades over time. It doesn't crumble in a messy way, just a little on the shiny side, so I'll try pairing it with a foundation that doesn't crumble easily.
I like that it creates a translucent skin, but the container often opens, so I gave it a low rating. If it's open, the viscosity changes without you realizing, and when you remove the lid, the inner lid (push part) comes off with it and the contents leak out, so the container is very uncomfortable to use. I really like the contents, so I'm thinking about switching to a different container.
Is it semi-matte? If you use a glossy base, it will give you a glossy finish! I'm worried that it dries out easily right after applying it, and that it doesn't have much coverage. However, it adheres well to the skin, so it's good for those who don't have dry skin or for those who are serious about moisturizing before applying makeup!
