I won this giveaway and received the actual product. The texture is neither hard nor loose like lip gloss or tint. The tip part that touches the skin directly is made of silicone, so it may be just right for those who are concerned about hygiene! It's not quite plumper-like, but it does sting a little. But it's not unbearable, so I guess it's proof that it's working, which gives me a sense of relief. I don't really care about the color, so it was a good enough product for me.
I could use it on my chapped lips, and it felt like I had a film on them. I'm glad that it's hygienic to use with the silicone tip. The color is quite light and doesn't last long, so a clear color would have been better. I'm not sure about the effect of retinol, but it wasn't a plumper that caused a lot of pain, so I personally liked it.
