Recently, I've been using a lot of cream and milk-type cleansers, but I feel like I want to wear makeup properly, so I've been trying out various oil cleansers for the first time in a while. I like that it removes makeup well and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after washing. It's a bit expensive, but I haven't gotten so hooked on it that I feel like I have to use this one.
I bought the mini treasures that are only available on suzykirei. I've always liked Tatcha products and have used their Camellia Cleansing Oil before, so this is a repeat purchase. It has a firm texture for an oil, but it spreads well and cleanses without feeling heavy or sticky. It doesn't feel tight, and it's just the right amount of moisturizing, so it doesn't feel dry. I think this is a good product for people who are concerned about the drying effect of cleansing oils.
The lotion was refreshing and I felt it absorbed better with cotton than with my hands. The milky lotion and cream were neither good nor bad. I used everything from the cleanser to the cream, but I didn't feel like it was worth the price.
I was curious about it so I bought it. It is made with Izu Oshima camellia oil and rice bran. It says 2 pumps but I think 3 pumps is enough for the whole face. The scent is nice and the oil glides on easily. On days when I wear light makeup this is enough and I don't think I need to double cleanse. After washing, my skin feels moisturized without any tightness, which is great.
I bought a variety of kits, and ended up with three 50ml bottles, so I used them all at once. I like the brand's concept, it's easy to use, and there's no problem with removing makeup. But the scent. it reminded me of sushi ginger (lol). Every night, when I removed my makeup, it was like a "mini trip to a sushi restaurant." Is it because the oil smells fishy? I don't dislike it, and it makes my skin look better, but it was a strange experience!
