It's the type that you mix the included vitamin powder with the serum before use and use it up within two weeks. I've used vitamin C serums such as Obagi and Melano CC, but considering the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness, I personally think this is the best. It makes my pores smaller and tones my skin a little brighter. (It's a pretty sticky oil, but I didn't particularly mind the smell or irritation. ) I used it generously up to my neck and used it up in two weeks, but I wish the expiration date was a little longer. I'd like to buy it again!
