The matte finish is not as strong as I expected. It spreads smoothly, doesn't dry out, and doesn't itch. The scent is a soft, sweet vanilla scent. It's a shame that the color doesn't last long and comes off easily. But the color is cute and the packaging is nice to touch! I won't be buying it again, but it might be easy for those new to matte lip products to try.
