It has high coverage but doesn't dry out! Recommended for dry and sensitive skin. It doesn't itch! I know I'm applying too much, but after applying liquid foundation and concealer, I apply this powder with a small brush only to areas where redness is visible. Many foundations get messy when applied multiple times, but this one doesn't. I use it on days when I go out and wear makeup. A repeat product.

I wish I'd found this sooner, as it stays put and I'm truly grateful for it. The texture is velvet matte, as the name suggests, but since it's a modern powder foundation, it's amazing that it doesn't feel like a powder foundation. Its coverage is strong when applied with a densely bristled brush or the included sponge, so it's best to apply it with a fluffy brush, buffing it in and then layering it with a sponge only on areas of concern. Pinkish shades suit me, so I tried 1R02, but it ended up looking quite reddish. I also purchased a MUFE concealer, which is in the N series and was the right color. Since it's a foundation, touch-ups are recommended, but I felt this was especially true with MUFE. I might repurchase 1N00.

Ever since my makeup debut as a young girl, I've always used powder foundation as my base, regardless of brand. I occasionally try liquid foundation, but it just never works for my skin. I've used a variety of powder foundations, both affordable and from department stores, but this HD Skin Matte Velvet Compact stands out among the rest. I believe that the compatibility of powder foundations is crucial, and this foundation looks amazing no matter what brand of primer I use. It doesn't smudge. While it has a distinct powdery feel when first applied, it feels smooth and silky after about an hour of application. Surprisingly, it makes my bone structure look beautiful. The coverage is excellent, and my skin doesn't feel tired after removing it. I've tried various tools, but I think the best way to apply it is with a long, fluffy brush. I apply it over areas of concern with a short-bristled brush or sponge. To finish, I use a brush without powder and rub it in as if polishing, which helps it blend in more quickly. I'm using shade 1N00. I also like this neutral color, which isn't yellowish or reddish. It's a foundation I'd like to keep using, but the only disappointing thing is that there are no refills for this shade. The only two shades available online are 1R02 (Cool Alabaster) and 1Y04 (Warm Alabaster). I wonder if they'll be available in stores? There's an unprecedented boom in cushion foundations. Many brands are no longer offering powder foundations these days. I'm constantly dreading the product being discontinued.

It has a good coverage, so I recommend applying it lightly with a brush. I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin in the winter.

Of all the foundations I've used so far (including department store brands), this one has the most beautiful finish by far. It's my absolute favorite! I wish it was more talked about! The included puff is also excellent, with a brushed surface on one side that gives you a velvety finish. It feels so nice on the skin that it makes applying makeup a little more enjoyable. However, the brushed part can come off if you wash it too hard, so it's recommended to clean it gently.
