The scent is very elegant. It doesn't leave a refreshing feeling after washing, but it does leave my skin feeling smooth, like I'm applying a serum. I like how the scent lingers for quite a while. Anyway, the smoothness of my skin after washing is top-notch.

I was initially hesitant about the black pepper scent, but it smells amazing! It really does smell like pepper! Try it and you'll be amazed! I recommend pouring it into the bathtub for a bubble bath, or you can use it as a body wash. I wanted a strong scent this time, so I poured a generous amount onto a sponge and washed my body with the rich lather. The scent lingered until the next morning, and it was very soothing. It smells amazing. Even on days when I don't feel like taking a bath, just having this shower gel around lifts my spirits. I love it because it leaves a subtle scent that lingers without the need for perfume. It's worth the price and makes a great gift. It barely lathers, and its cleansing power is... so on days when I use sunscreen or sweat a lot, I wash my body with a different soap that has a weaker scent, and then finish with this shower gel. It barely lathers, so if you drop a drop into a body wash ball, it just absorbs, so I recommend washing with your bare hands.

It's a mini size, but I used a generous amount, so I'll give my review. Simply put, it's a men's perfume. The top note is very similar to the tobacco absolute scent in the same coffret. The bitterness is slightly less intense than the tobacco absolute. After that, a scent spreads that's not as strong as musk, but is definitely a man's perfume. As for the foam, it's large, like all MOLTON BROWN shower gels. I wonder if it would work if I used hard water? But I don't use it with hard water, so I don't know. lol It seems to be primarily aimed at men, so I think it would make a good gift for a man.

I used the mini size. I'm probably not the target demographic, so I'm sorry for lowering my rating... but as everyone has said, I think it's for men. The scent lingers quite a bit, so I think it would be effective for older men who are starting to worry about body odor. It lathers up really well.
