excel Lash Optimism (LA01 True Black)

I bought the ash brown one. I've used burgundy and blue mascaras before, but they were just okay (though by different brands). But this one is pretty good. The mascara color seems to match my lashes, and it gives a natural finish. With regular black mascara, it looks like you're wearing too much, but this one looks very natural. The brush itself is angled, but I'm not used to using it properly, so I think a regular straight brush would have been fine. Overall, I have a very good impression of this one, so I'll probably buy it again.

I think it's easier to use than the Excel mascara I used before. I think the liquid is less likely to harden, but compared to other companies' products, I feel like I need to use it a little more quickly. The colors have a cool Excel feel, so it's easy to choose. I liked the look of the mascara they previously released in a square case, as it was easy to open and close, didn't roll away, and was easy to use, so I hope they bring back the square case.

I loved Excel's mascara before the revamp and have repurchased it many times. The brush is smaller (thinner) than the previous product. It's still easy to apply, but I feel like the liquid doesn't spread as well. Perhaps because there are fewer fibers, it doesn't spread as well even when layered, so I use it in combination with other mascaras to lengthen my lashes.
