How To Use

The included sponge allows you to control the finish by using different sides. For full coverage, use the sponge side to apply foundation in short strokes, blending from the center of your face outward. Repeat until you achieve your desired coverage. For medium coverage, use the velvet side to lightly glide the foundation from the center of your face outward. If applying with a brush, we recommend Foundation 109. [PRO TIP] Use the HD Skin Matte Velvet Compact as a face powder over liquid foundation for a flawless matte finish with enhanced coverage. If using as a powder, we recommend the Precision Powder Brush 128. When applying, use the "dot and dust" technique. 1. Apply the powder to the skin by patting the brush onto the forehead, chin, and both cheeks. No additional powder is required during this process. 2. With your eyes closed, move the brush from your forehead down, blending from left to right, to apply the powder as if it were a thin veil.

It has high coverage but doesn't dry out! Recommended for dry and sensitive skin. It doesn't itch! I know I'm applying too much, but after applying liquid foundation and concealer, I apply this powder with a small brush only to areas where redness is visible. Many foundations get messy when applied multiple times, but this one doesn't. I use it on days when I go out and wear makeup. A repeat product.

Perfect for touch-ups! Create a cool, peach-like, semi-matte "second skin" with the HD Skin series MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Skin Matte Velvet Compact (a mini sample is included with purchase). Adjustable coverage with layering. Layer after layer, and your natural, translucent skin remains, while pores and imperfections disappear. This compact erases redness around the nose, which previously required multiple shades of concealer. It also adjusts to inconspicuous areas, making it like the eraser in a photo-editing app. The soft, peach-like semi-matte texture doesn't weigh down at all. Even though it's a sample, it's still holding up, so I can't quite buy the full product. It's been a while since I last used powder foundation, and it's still great! It's quick and easy to apply in the morning, and perfect for touch-ups in the summer. When I used liquid foundation, I had to carry both concealer and powder, but with this, I only need one! Even if you touch up your makeup multiple times a day, it won't look too thick. Concealer doesn't dry out in the winter, but if you repeatedly apply more paste powder to smudged areas, it's bound to get messy. The puff has a regular side and a velvet-like, raised side, and rubbing it around with the raised side will make the pores around your nose disappear. Even before the renewal, this was an exceptionally well-known powder foundation.

I wish I'd found this sooner, as it stays put and I'm truly grateful for it. The texture is velvet matte, as the name suggests, but since it's a modern powder foundation, it's amazing that it doesn't feel like a powder foundation. Its coverage is strong when applied with a densely bristled brush or the included sponge, so it's best to apply it with a fluffy brush, buffing it in and then layering it with a sponge only on areas of concern. Pinkish shades suit me, so I tried 1R02, but it ended up looking quite reddish. I also purchased a MUFE concealer, which is in the N series and was the right color. Since it's a foundation, touch-ups are recommended, but I felt this was especially true with MUFE. I might repurchase 1N00.

Of all the foundations I've used so far (including department store brands), this one has the most beautiful finish by far. It's my absolute favorite! I wish it was more talked about! The included puff is also excellent, with a brushed surface on one side that gives you a velvety finish. It feels so nice on the skin that it makes applying makeup a little more enjoyable. However, the brushed part can come off if you wash it too hard, so it's recommended to clean it gently.
