I have oily skin in the T-zone, with a touch of dryness around my cheeks and mouth. My skin is fair with little yellow undertones, but a slight redness on my cheeks. Even though I'm fair, I'm concerned about some dullness due to age. I have open pores on my cheeks. My aging skin is a challenge. I purchased a mini-size set containing a primer and foundation. The foundation, 1R02 (see photos 1 and 2), is a reddish shade, so if I'd seen it in person in the store, I probably wouldn't have tried it. However, when I tried it, it matched my skin tone perfectly. If I wanted to tone up, I'd probably go for a lighter shade. My experience with using it since the weather started to warm up seems to vary greatly depending on the primer. When used with a primer that doesn't have much skin-correcting properties, this foundation gives a natural finish, but it doesn't correct pores or other unevenness, so it doesn't hide imperfections. It only seems to correct color. If your primer provides pore correction, tone-up, and color control, this foundation looks amazing. With a moisturizing primer, I'm concerned about shine during the day. (In winter, a moisturizing primer would probably work well.) Using it with a sebum-resistant primer leaves my skin looking beautiful even in the evening. I apply a thin layer of foundation with both. The Step 1 Primer from the same brand, which I purchased as part of a set, is a natural, colorless primer, so even when used with the set, it didn't really improve my skin's roughness. However, it has the ability to hold foundation in place, so I think it will be satisfactory for those with fewer skin concerns! By the way, the Step 1 Primer works great with other foundations! Going back to the topic of foundation, I used it with Won Jongyo's yellow primer and ORBIS's Smooth Keep Base UV Credo's Voile Correcture n, and it gave me a beautiful, long-lasting finish that I was satisfied with. I think that choosing the right primer is important for those with mature skin concerns. I've written a lot, but no matter what, it's my favorite foundation and I keep reaching for it! ----------- I received the mini size 1N00 (third photo). The color matched better with this one! It's beautiful, lasts well, and I love it. The previous review was for warmer weather, but this one is for winter. It's great for winter too! It doesn't dry out! I pair it with a moderately moisturizing primer. It doesn't have super high coverage, but you can use concealer, or even without it, it gives a fairly even, moderate glow and looks beautiful. Now that I know I can use it all year round, it's high on my list of next liquid foundations to buy!
