Description

A blend of light botanical oils* in a perfect ratio. This multi-purpose vegan oil envelops the body and hair in a rich fragrance, moisturizing, shining, and refining texture without stickiness. Smoothing your hair leaves it lustrous and supple. Spraying it into a fine mist leaves the scent lingering, almost as if it were your skin. *A blend of argan oil, jojoba oil, macadamia oil, and Yucha oil in a perfect ratio. Fragrance: Patchouli, Lavender, Vanilla: A soft, powdery note combining mystical patchouli, fresh lavender, and sweet vanilla. *Due to the delicate formula containing natural ingredients, the color and scent may vary slightly, and the product may become cloudy or harden at low temperatures. I'm not a fan of perfume, so I went to the store looking for a fragrance that's less perfume and more fabric softener. I used this body oil (now discontinued) quite some time ago, and when I went to SABON for the first time in a while to try it, I felt a sense of nostalgia and ended up buying the same scent. I love SABON's Patchouli Lavender Vanilla, which has a vanilla scent but is not too sweet. The oil is light and non-greasy, so I can apply it to my neck, décolleté, and feet after a bath, making it suitable for both summer and winter. I was disappointed that the price had gone up since the body oil, but it seems to have been redesigned as a multi-purpose oil that can be used on both body and hair. Since I was planning to use it as a fragrance, I wasn't expecting much from the hair oil function, but two pumps on my chest-length hair made it smooth and shiny, exceeding my expectations. It also worked well with my usual Aveda oil. Since both Aveda and SABON are oils, I recommend applying it to completely dry hair in the morning when styling. (I feel like if you keep using oil-based products when your hair is still damp after using a hair dryer, it makes the ends of your hair dry. Am I the only one who feels this way?) I always end up going back to this scent, so I plan to buy it again :) For reference, my night and morning hair care routine (for long, straightened hair down to below my chest): Night: 2-3 pumps of Milbon Elujuda Bleach Care Serum; Morning: 5 drops of Aveda Concentrate Shine Oil; 2 pumps of SABON Beauty Oil, or comb SABON alone to add shine.

I bought this again to use in addition to Clarins Slimming Gel. I mix this oil with water in Body Fit and use it in a pump container for easy application. I use it to add moisture to other products, so I could actually use other oils, but I use this one because I find the sweet vanilla scent so soothing.

I've loved the scent since it was previously available, and I've been using it ever since. When I mix it with other fragrance-free balms and style my hair, I'm enveloped in my favorite scent for hours, which really gets me excited!
