SHISEIDO Micro Liner Ink (01 Black)

I purchased the SHISEIDO Microliner Ink 02 Brown after getting a touch-up at the Shiseido counter. I actually wanted a highlighter, but I was told that it would dry out my skin as I get older. It looks better if I avoided applying it to the sides or undersides of my eyes, which are prone to age-related concerns. It's best to apply it lightly above or around the blush, creating a spot-on effect. I see. I had a touch-up, but I gave up on the idea of ​​buying a new one just for the blush. Since my blush already has a highlighter, I thought that would be fine. When asked, "What was your purpose in wanting a highlighter?" I explained that I was struggling with eye makeup at the time. I thought it would be good to incorporate highlighter and blush effectively. They then touched up the eyeliner and eyeshadow, and I was so pleased with the results that I purchased them. The shade is 02 Brown, but it's a bold shade that looks almost black. I didn't plan on using the entire eyeshadow palette, but instead recommended using just two shades sparingly and finishing with eyeliner. I was feeling frustrated by not being able to change my old makeup routine, so I decided to buy some eyeliner and eyeshadow. I told them I wasn't very good at eyeliner and didn't know how to use it. They then taught me by actually lifting my upper eyelid and dabbing it on the base of my eyelashes, on the mucous membrane, which I was impressed with. They said it's best to wait until the mascara has completely dried before drawing the line on the mucous membrane. The Shiseido staff are always so patient and teach you the basics, so this was a great purchase. As an aside, they said that as I get older, my facial lines are starting to lose their definition, so they really recommend eyeliner. They repeatedly told me that I could use the bright colors I already had for eyeshadow, but the one they gave me for a touch-up was so good I bought it. Highlighters are good, of course, but they recommended that I reevaluate my skincare routine and aim for moisturized skin, and I agree. I'll work hard on my skincare routine.

I bought this after seeing Shiseido's Shiseido's Shiomi Mukai recommend it in a YouTube video. Even though it's recommended, well, Mukai is Shiseido, after all... I thought that, but when I tried it out, I found the color to be really good. It's 02 Brown, but it's a brown that's almost black, so it really does tighten my eyes. As I approach 60, I'm afraid to wear black liner, but if I choose the wrong brown, it can often make me look dull or unwell. This 02 Brown has freed me from those worries. It defines my eyes yet looks natural. It doesn't look out of place even when applied long on the outer corner of my eye. It's soft, easy to fill in the gaps between my lashes, and I love that it doesn't smudge. I have thick, deep-set eyelids and under-eye bags, so I tend to have panda eyes, but with this liner, if I apply powder to my lower lid, I don't look like a panda even after 8 hours of makeup! I want to try other colors too. I'll definitely be buying it again.

Recommended by a beauty advisor, this was my first time purchasing a liner other than black or brown. It's soft and smooth, applies beautifully all the way to the outer corner of the eye, and doesn't smudge easily, making it the perfect retractable eyeliner. I was a bit hesitant about purple liner, but it actually blends in with my skin and doesn't look flashy. I use different ones depending on the color and mood of my eye makeup.

I bought the navy color. It's a stylish color that's not as harsh as black, but still makes your eyes pop. The color stays on well into the evening, and it applies smoothly. It might be because of the way I apply it, but sometimes what I apply to my upper eyelid bleeds onto my lower eyelid in the evening, and because it's navy, it makes me look unhealthy, which is a problem. I wonder if blending it with a brush right after applying it will help prevent it from smudging? Once I get the hang of it, the color lasts well, and there's a wide variety of colors, so I'm thinking of buying other colors as well.

I thought I was buying the Plum again, but I ended up buying the Violet instead. I had given up on using it, but when I received it and tried writing with it, it was great! It's a little lighter than the Plum, and to me it just looks brown. I love Microliner ink because it's so durable. Thank you, Shiseido.
