I was attracted to the combination of rose and cassis, so I bought this on Suzykirei without even trying the scent. I love diptyque's L'Ombre dans l'Eau, so I thought I might get hooked. The shower gel seems to be quite popular. When I applied it to my skin, I got a strong cassis scent. I didn't detect any rose at the top. It's not floral. It doesn't have the green-ish scent of L'Ombre dans l'Eau. It's a dense, dense fragrance. Immediately after application, it smells sweet and sour, like fruit candy, which is a cheesy analogy, but it's not childish. It has more depth than that. The first notes that spread are saffron and cinnamon, I think. Rose in the background. As the scent gradually blends in, it softens. Be careful, though, as applying too much can be overwhelming, like a classic perfume. The scent is quite strong, so I felt like I was getting drunk when I used it all over my body. It's a body lotion, but it's not very moisturizing. I apply it to my lower back instead of perfume. It lasts quite a long time, so if you like this scent, I think it's a good value for money. Top notes: Cassis, saffron, violet leaf, pepper; Heart notes: Rose, cinnamon, geranium; Base notes: Patchouli, moss, amber. The following are my personal impressions. Personally, I really like the top notes, but I don't like the last notes, which feel pungent and strong and sharp. There's an unpleasant feeling, as if the scents are fighting. Perhaps this is meant to express the burning heat of a scorching hot desert... If it were creamy, it would be a little different, but it's hard to call it sophisticated. The top and middle notes are good, but the last notes were disappointing.

I love Molton Brown and use different body lotions depending on the season. Molton Brown's body lotion is smooth, spreads easily, and absorbs well, making it easy to use. It's not thick, but smooth, and my skin feels softer with each use. I was expecting a gorgeous rose scent, but the rose was subdued, with a heavier scent dominated by cinnamon and amber. This heavier scent settles in during the colder months. I think the spicy scent is perfect for the Christmas season.

It has a heavy scent that is perfect for autumn and winter. It's a thick cream and doesn't spread very well, but I was able to apply it after a bath and fall asleep with the lovely scent still on.
