It's pretty good considering it's affordable. Although it's not shiny, the finish is one that can be described as "frosted glass skin." I didn't notice any smudging on my cheeks, but I think it tends to smudge around the nose after a few hours. I didn't feel it had much coverage. I'm a cool-toned summer type with fair skin, and 04 Ochre was just right for me. I felt like the colors were a little lighter overall.

I bought it after reading reviews. I'm a cool-toned person with reddish undertones, so I chose 02. It covers my skin but is thin enough that it doesn't smudge even when sweat comes off. It's close to what I was looking for! If I apply it to 5 spots and then spread it, it dries and looks crumbly, so I lightly spread it on the areas I want to apply it to and then blend it in with a wet sponge right away. A moister primer seems easier to apply.

I had a bad experience with Maybelline's new liquid makeup. This time, I bought Kiss, which I've used before (I was looking for something affordable and good). It applies smoothly and looks beautiful after application. Unfortunately, it does sink into wrinkles. I usually choose the lightest shade, but 02 Pink Beige was a little dark. I thought it might work if I toned it up with a primer, or maybe I could buy 01 Shell again and mix it in. It wasn't as matte as I expected. It applies in a thin film, giving it a natural, bare-skin feel (though it doesn't hide blemishes), so it's good for a natural makeup look. I personally have oily skin, so it's a bit difficult to use in the middle of summer. It might break down quickly.

It feels very light on the skin. It's not matte, but it's refreshing and doesn't dry out, but it does make my pores look bigger quickly. It may depend on the primer or powder you use, but I think it works better with a lot of powder this time of year, and it stays in place longer.
