I use this for moisturizing my child's skin. The texture is average. It's easy to spread and inexpensive, which I like. It has a light texture for a lotion. I think unscented would have been fine for a child, but the scent isn't too strong. It has the same scent as the shampoo, but it doesn't linger as well and isn't as strong. I didn't experience any skin irritation or other issues. However, it does contain milk, so it's not suitable for children with milk allergies.
