ANNA SUI UV BB Cream SPF50, 02

I purchased No. 01. It comes in two shades, No. 01 and No. 02, and is the lighter shade. When applied, it creates a healthy, slightly lighter complexion. Due to an injury to my right hand, I apply it with my left hand, which is my non-dominant hand. It's smooth and spreads easily, so I was able to achieve a beautiful, even application. I finish by lightly dusting Milano Collection on top. The finish is semi-matte, which I think is due to the powder. As for wear and smudging, as of December, my morning application has lasted until the evening. I'm not sure how well it holds up with humidity or sweat. It doesn't feel drying, so I think it's moisturizing. It has a subtle Anna Sui rose scent, which may be a favorite or unfavorite, but I personally find it soothing. Its high UV protection (SPF50+/PA++++) is also a great feature, and I love the ease with which I can enjoy beautiful base makeup.

Rather than taking time to apply it with a brush or puff, I found that applying it quickly with my fingers in small amounts gave the best finish. It's easy to use and doesn't require a primer, so it's convenient for traveling and reduces the amount of luggage you need to carry. However, as the coming season is likely to be a bit dry, I'd like to use it while keeping my skin well moisturized.

My favorite Anna Sui primer was discontinued, so I decided to give this a try. While Anna Sui's base makeup products tend to suit different skin types, this one is absolutely amazing! It's great! Pros: Pore coverage (good), not sticky, and transfers very little to masks. SPF 50 sun protection (good). Resistant to sebum and sweat (somewhat questionable). May be dry depending on skin type and season. Strong fragrance. The shades are limited and dark. I work outdoors (masks are essential), and sweat and oils are profuse, but mask transfer is barely noticeable. It doesn't smudge or bleed into pores, so I think this BB cream is a great choice for this time of year. It has a slightly thicker texture like liquid foundation, but it adheres quickly and creates a beautiful semi-matte finish, whether applied by hand or with a sponge. Coverage is more than a primer or a regular BB cream, but less than a liquid foundation, so it should be sufficient for those with minimal skin concerns. It gives off a doll-like finish, typical of Anna Sui. It has a rose scent, but it doesn't have that unpleasant sunscreen smell and is relatively light to use. It was a perfect fit for me, as I have combination skin. BB creams are great because they give you a quick, makeup-like look. Actually, this BB cream was great! I recommend it for those who have oily or sweaty skin, or who don't like the heavy feel of BB or CC creams.

When you spread it on your face, it becomes smooth, disappears pores, and provides a great deal of coverage. Even when you apply it quickly by hand in the morning, it remains even and beautiful. It's perfect for quick makeup. It has a subtle rose scent.
