I've just finished one bottle. It smells nice and is moisturizing. I don't feel any whitening effect.

I liked the sample so much that I bought the full product. It seems to contain niacinamide. I don't really like the slightly artificial scent. I used up the whole bottle, but it didn't do much for my stubborn dark spots.

It was in an advent calendar. Day 12. It's a milky serum. The whitening ingredient is L-ascorbic acid 2-glucoside (a water-soluble vitamin C derivative). It's a tiny 3ml size, so I wasn't sure about its effectiveness, but it wasn't sticky, blended in smoothly, and didn't clash with other products, making it easy to incorporate into specific areas. However, Clarins' strength lies in the power of plants, so the whitening line isn't quite as impressive. If I were to buy the full product, I'd go for a plant-powered serum. They had a whitening line 20 years ago when I was into them, and the scent is the same as it was back then, bringing back memories.

The scent is wonderful, and it's not too sticky after application, so it's very easy to use! I also use the lotion together, and it feels like my skin is well moisturized.
