This was my first time using lip liner, and I was amazed at how natural it looked! Just by slightly over-lining my lips, it made a huge difference in the overall look of my face. I wish I had started using it sooner.

I bought this because I wanted a lip liner that wouldn't look out of place when wearing blue, rose, or nude lipstick. The quality is amazing! It's soft, easy to apply, and doesn't put any strain on the lips or surrounding skin. I usually use Make Up For Ever lip liners, which are known for their long-lasting color, and I think Make Up For Ever has the best color retention and ease of application of any lip liner currently on the market. Lancôme's lip liner is comparable, staying strong even after eating and drinking, making it an excellent lip liner. To give you an idea of how long it lasts, I swatched it on the back of my hand, spent half a day there, and the color was still there when I got out of the shower. If you're looking for a color that's not available in Make Up For Ever, Lancôme might be a good choice. ◆Color I'm satisfied with the product itself, at a 7-star rating, but the color of the No. 50 I purchased seems to change over time, which is a bit of a disappointment. When first applied, it's a reddish nude beige, not a rose-colored one. It's not quite the same, but it was tolerable on my reddish lips. Over time, it turned a whitish-orange color, which I felt stood out against my cool winter skin and lip color. The photo shows it being applied a little while ago, but rubbing and body heat will make it even more whitish-orange. I think the second one will appeal to warm spring skin tones with relatively healthy lips and fairer skin. For cool skin tones, I recommend touching up the first and second ones and letting them sit for a while before purchasing. A beauty advisor at an artist brand said that long-lasting lip liners tend to have fewer cool tones, but perhaps pigments that are long-lasting but not too harsh and compatible with soft formulas tend to have more warm tones. I recently purchased a lip liner from Givenchy that perfectly matches my lip color, but it had a traditional, firm texture and faded quickly, so I'm looking forward to technological advances.

It pairs so well with my lip colors that I use it almost every day. It also creates plump lips in an instant.
