Kanebo 化妆海绵两用 L

I purchased this product last December. (1) I checked it on Kanebo's website, so I'm sure it's the right product. It's a makeup sponge shaped like the cross section of an egg, housed in a thin, off-white/gray case. I had no complaints while using it. For example, I rotated it with other sponges, such as those for Clé de Peau Beauté, Kanebo liquid and gel products, and Watusa products, washing them with Orbis cleaner when they got too dirty. (2) I have no complaints about its ease of use. The thin case makes a big difference, and without it, I was grateful for it, since I wouldn't know where to store it. (3) I haven't kept accurate statistics, so I can't say for sure, but it seems to have worn out quickly. For me, a sponge wears out when the edges turn yellow, it hardens, and becomes crumbly, and I start to think that it's definitely not good for my skin. The Clé de Peau Beauté sponge has deteriorated, and so has the Shiseido sponge, so I've accepted that it's time to retire, but it seemed a little early. For now, I like the Clé de Peau Beauté sponge the best. I won't be repurchasing.

I always carry this with me to touch up my makeup. The larger size is easy to use and keeps oil from floating around. I don't use blotting paper, but this is convenient because it absorbs any smudges naturally with just a light pat. Then, on the other side, I apply a very thin layer of powder foundation, which I carry with me, over as wide an area as possible, and blend it into the high points of my face. After this, I touch up my blush and then lightly press the powder foundation-soaked side against my cheeks to help my makeup last longer. I like that I can wash it frequently and keep it clean in the case. Along with cotton swabs, it's an essential item to keep in my pouch at all times.

I use this not only when using Kanebo foundation (I use Coffret D'or and Revue), but also when using other brands' foundations. This sponge is soft and I love the feel it gives on the skin. The shape is also very easy to use. It's convenient because you can use it on small areas like the sides of your nose and forehead, as well as on larger areas. It comes with a case so you can carry it around and use it like oil blotting paper. It does deteriorate a little quickly, but it's soft and feels good on the skin, so that's within the acceptable range. Even though it deteriorates quickly, it's not so bad that you'd be like, "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?", and I think it's normal. Compared to harder ones, it's... I feel like... When it starts to tear, whether from overuse or over-washing, I throw it away. Another great thing about it is that you can buy it anywhere, at a discount store or shopping center.

I was surprised at the low ratings, but aren't most people rated it 3-6? Does that mean the ratings from two years ago and earlier are nonexistent? It can't be helped, but it's a shame. This was one of the five or six sponges I bought at once. It was around the time I bought a round-shaped powder foundation, so I bought one to match its shape. That coincidence taught me the benefits of a thick sponge, and I'm very grateful for that. Until now, I'd applied powder foundation with the included sponge or brush. I had no complaints about that, but this one surprised me. First of all, the feel. I don't think it's made with any particularly outstanding ingredients, but the thickness makes it feel plump and comfortable. And most importantly, it applies evenly and quickly! This is its greatest benefit. The thickness means you don't need to apply too much pressure, so it applies just right. Also, since I have a large face, I can apply half of it with one swipe, so it's super fast. I think most people could apply it to their entire face with one swipe. I use the bottom of the egg-shaped sponge as my main foundation, and the pointed top for contouring/shading? It's so convenient. I clean it with dish soap. Thanks to this, I learned that I should prepare a larger or thicker sponge in addition to the one that comes with it. Thank you, makeup sponge!
