This is a rewarding cleanser that thoroughly removes makeup without leaving your skin feeling tight and smooth.

I tried a sample! I wonder if it falls into the category of what's known as a cleansing balm? It's a firm balm, so I have to warm it up in my palms before I can use it. It's also a bit firm, requiring a bit of pressure to knead. It's not particularly painful, though... The scent is that same one you'd hear when you enter a department store cosmetics floor! (It's Givenchy's signature scent.) It cleanses with a great feeling. It even removed my point makeup (KATE Lash Former Mascara) without any issues. I usually use oil cleansers, but I discovered a new advantage with this balm: it doesn't drip and doesn't get in my eyes. However, balms are harder to remove after blending, and even after rinsing several times, some cleanser tends to remain on the tip of my nose—that's a downside. Despite the cleansing effect, my skin didn't feel particularly dry after rinsing, and it even held up to double cleansing. If I were to rate it, I'd give it 6 stars for scent, 4 for ease of use, and 3-4 for comfort. It's a mixed bag, with pros and cons. I wish they would sell this in a pouch size so I could keep it in my purse for when I suddenly need makeup remover while I'm out. It removes makeup well and has a nice scent, so it's reassuring. A beautiful woman anytime, anywhere. As an aside, maybe I used it at the wrong time, but when I used it at a time when my skin was on the verge of becoming sensitive, it tingled and itched around my eyes. Those with sensitive skin should be careful.

It's a fairly firm, balm-like texture, and it feels new to me. It doesn't run off like an oil. I warm it up thoroughly in my hands, then spread it all over my face and swirl it around, enveloping me in the scent of Soin Noir. It then becomes a thick, non-drip oil-like texture. I rinse it off without waiting for it to emulsify, and it instantly turns white, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and moisturized. I thought this was enough. However, my face still had a sparkling, mica-like residue, so I went on to wash my face again. In the end, I felt like I'd removed too much oil. If I'd used it about once a week, and followed it up with plenty of moisturizing oil, it might be balanced out, but it might be a bit harsh on my fifty-something skin. Even though it contains sea extracts, it was all washed away, and I ended up with a sparkling finish with a cleanser meant to remove them thoroughly. I'd just been impressed with the serum foundation, so this skincare product was a shock. I'd only ever tried the cleanser at the counter, and the strange texture made me think it might be good. But there's something about it that makes it so good, so it costs that much. Maybe I was using it wrong. I wonder if I don't need to wash my face. But it would be weird to apply lotion or cream before going to bed while my skin is still sparkling. I probably won't be buying it again. My skin looks the best right after cleansing. I bought this because I thought it was interesting and didn't understand the significance of the glitter. The scent is amazing and very soothing. I tried using it on a makeup routine that included sunscreen primer, liquid foundation, liquid blush, and powder, and it removed the makeup well. A point makeup remover is essential, though. It removes enough that you don't need to double cleanse, but if you apply heavier makeup, the cleansing power may not be enough. The texture is a very viscous gel. If you spread it too forcefully on your skin, it will cause a lot of friction, so I think it will dry out if you don't spread it mostly on your fingers and then use the elasticity of your skin to gently spread it. If you rub it in, you can feel the slight roughness of the glitter. If you emulsify the glitter properly before rinsing it off, it won't remain on your skin, so why did they add glitter...? This cleanser is a mystery to me. It's like having a high-class, beautiful girlfriend (which costs money), and the more you use it, the more you'll love it, maybe???
