I think it's best to be careful about the amount and location of foundation you apply. I usually prefer powder foundation, so I like to use it when I have time. Applying too much around my mouth and chin can make it look powdery or feel a bit cakey, so I only apply a small amount. Also, I was initially bothered by the distinctive Anna Sui rose scent, but it's surprisingly not noticeable once you apply it. It fades quickly (or maybe just because my nose gets used to it), which was nice. I use Chanel Le Lift to tighten my pores, then apply a primer, then a pore-blurring cream to the areas of concern, then spray some spray makeup onto an egg-shaped sponge that was popular at the 100-yen store, dab it onto the sponge, then pat and glide it over until it blends nicely, and then apply powder as recommended by other reviews. This method gives me great results.
