GUERLAIN Parure Gold Cushion N Refill (00C)

I have acne-prone combination skin. Crede's primer and cushion foundation started to dry my skin, so I decided to try this one, which is packed with serum ingredients. ◆After a color touch-up, I went with 01N. The beauty advisor recommended the lighter 00N, but it felt like it floated around my neck. Honestly, I think 01N is a little too light. If I wanted a darker shade, I'd go with liquid foundation... It doesn't fade over time, so I'm happy with this one. ◆The finish is beautiful and dewy, but the freshly applied shine fades after about an hour. It doesn't completely erase pores or blemishes, but it does provide a decent amount of coverage. ◆I appreciate that it barely sticks to my mask. However, when I pair it with a Guerlain primer from the same series, my cheeks get quite smudged. Using Crede's Correcture n as a primer and NARS Lift Powder as a finisher significantly reduced makeup smudging. The shine is a little lacking, but I think people with oily skin shouldn't use the whole line. ◆ Skin irritation: It's been two weeks since I started using it, but I haven't had any issues yet. It has decent coverage, but I don't feel like I'm wearing anything, and my skin doesn't feel tired even after cleansing, so I'm hoping it'll be okay. ◆ Scent: It has a nice, perfume-like scent. It's noticeable right after you apply it, but it goes away after a while.

It's light, but even when it wears off it still leaves a beautiful, radiant finish. I'm curious to see how long it will last, but I plan to repurchase it over the winter.

I received this as a gift and am using it myself. The packaging has a luxurious feel that gets me excited. A small amount beautifully hides pores and makes skin look beautiful. It also naturally covers blemishes. It doesn't get dirty even when you sweat. I also like the fragrance. If I had to say something, I don't really like the feel of the puff (if you don't apply it carefully, it squeaks with friction. lol Are all cushion foundation puffs like this?), but overall I'm satisfied!

I use Orchidee White Serum as a base and lightly dab it onto my T-zone, the triangle under my eyes, and my chin. It spreads easily, so once I've taken a puff, I just apply it in small dots on each area and dab it in to blend it in. I think the base evens out my complexion quite well, and my foundation stays light and doesn't come off easily. I've tried most of the cushion brands from department stores, but if I'm looking for something that won't tire my skin out, Guerlain might be the one for me.

It didn't suit my skin. The scent was terrible. It's for people who already have beautiful skin. It's a thin foundation, but it doesn't have much coverage. I have uneven skin, so thin foundations don't work for me. The finish was semi-matte. I want to use it effectively by changing the primer. It's expensive (lol).
